The greatest leap forward in console gaming for me isn’t 4K or HDR; it’s 120fps. Cutting theoretical input latency down to times faster than a CRT’s has been really helpful for action gaming. I actually wish they’d put out more living room TVs at 1080p120+.

Nina Gaiden 4 is a great game. Absolutely brutal, just like it should be. There’s a nearly infinite skill ceiling that I came nowhere near even perceiving. That’s quality. I really should’ve done more izuna drops. I will in the replay.

It’s still pretty early, but judging by the first level, the new Ninja Gaiden is very much Ninja Gaiden. It may branch out and all that, but I went into Purgatory and felt very much at home dying repeatedly and trying to manage my dodges, ultimates, and izuna drops. I’m happy with it so far.

It’s great that NES emulators and Mister cores have achieved such incredible accuracy in passing 128/128 tests, including many edge case scenarios. However, the authentic NES experience is multiple failures on boot, so unless your core/emulator makes me hate the hardware, what’s the point, really?

Weird thing here.
