Marjorie Taylor Greene's resigning in time to get a pension is a lesson to everyone. Most Americans don't get *any* pension anymore, but Congress gave itself a pension after only five years of work. Our "representatives" aren't working for us, they are [barely] working for themselves.

NCDHHS can’t put health care costs on a credit card. The longer the General Assembly refuses to fund our Medicaid program, the more they erode our health care system. They need to do their jobs.

Today, Mike Johnson will keep the House adjourned for the 95th day out of the last 107. 12 days of work in 107 days. With full pay and benefits. The senate has been working, so this is not about the shutdown. It is about avoiding a vote to release the Epstein files.

We had over 500 people at the No Kings Rally in Spindale NC. There are larger protests around us but I think it's so important for our small town neighbors to see us out there on our own streets. We left behind some positivity too. Pics of the turnout in the replies.

Here’s the deal, Mike Johnson, you worked 9 days since July, make $200K, and get best free healthcare we pay for, while shutting down ours. Want it fair? Start with your paychecks. No work, no pay and no damn free healthcare for any of you. Let Congress feel the pain they dump on the rest of us.

Another great book. This was assigned as a middle school summer reading option for my girls. Glad there were and are still teachers who want students to read thought provoking materials.
