Three years ago, I helped @mhsmith.bsky.social start the @3wishesprogram.bsky.social at #UW. I am so happy to report that their program is thriving under his leadership and have granted wishes for over 400 patients!

In 2021, we were at the peak of the #COVID pandemic & an end-of-life patient requested a mariachi band performance. Coordinating an outdoor, masked, and socially distanced performance was not trivial--but the look on his face....PRICELESS. #kindness #finalmemories shared with consent

A few years ago, our UCLA 3 Wishes Project hosted a masked, outdoor wedding for a couple who wanted to their dying mother to witness their vows. Now, I hear that a baby is on the way! In death, life continues. There is only loss, if there was love.
