Just came here to say David Olusoga's Empire series is fantastic. Would highly recommend. It's on iPlayer now. Beautiful, frank and compassionate story telling.

Anyone know why none of the local supermarkets have pilchards in? Big fan of the pilchard - particularly the kind in tomato sauce. And for some reason I thought an international social media platform was the place to ask this.

1/4 I need to say publicly - the things happening to Bishop Sarah Mulally right now feel like what happens when a woman steps out of line, dares to live equality, assumes that she is allowed to operate in the same sphere as men.

Twice in the last six months I've been called by the NHS for extra tests following screening (just been for second follow up today). I have been given the all clear both times - but more importantly had I not been all clear those wonderful people were right there ready to care for me. +

This is a fantastic job in a lovely spot. The parishes are praying for you every day - the priest God is calling to this beautiful patch of God's own country. Please feel free to message informally to ask anything that might help you discern if this is for you.

Cracking. Rutger Bregman. The US falling like Rome. Europe stagnating like Venice. He says the hopeful stuff will come in the second lecture. It's a strong recommend from me tho.

75 years ago today, the European Convention of Human Rights, ECHR, was created. The UK played a key role in shaping it. We should celebrate the ECHR & the vision of all who brought it to life. We must resist regressive & cynical moves to rip us out of the convention!
