I just finished reading "The Institute" by @stephenking.bsky.social, buddy read with a friend. Incredible book, a real punch in the gut. Loved every page! And it hits especially hard given the current context.

I always wondered why all my friends in town were getting eaten alive by mosquitoes and I wasn’t — even though I sleep with my window wide open. Turns out there are bats living on my street. They eat up to 2,000 mosquitoes a night. I'm living in a mosquito-free zone thanks to them 🦇

Yesterday I went to the movies to see Lilo & Stitch — it was so magical and heartwarming. Then I watched The Life of Chuck and it completely blew me away. One of the biggest emotional hits I’ve had in a theater this year. Maybe even ever.

The situation in the USA is getting worse and worse, especially for LGBT people. I don't even live there, but I'm scared. Fear for the people who live there, and fear for the rest of the world. Because if even the USA isn't safe, neither are we.

As part of my studies, I'm doing an internship with an association. My tutor is so understanding about the fact that I have ADHD. She helps me enormously with little gestures. I wish more people in the working world were like her! (Plus she's funny af help ?????).

A teenager complimented me on my hair. Specifically, he said “I like your hair, it's the colors of a parrot. I don't mean that YOU look like a parrot, but it's just the colors that make me think of one.” His friends (girls) were mortified and told him “please shut up, it's WORSE”.

My carpooler offered me a pain au chocolat (yeah, I'm French). It's going to be 18°C (64.4 °F) today, the weather is sunny and I'm productive at work. I'm going to have a great day!
