Come talk to me when ‘AGI’ is able to look at our summer planning spreadsheet and automatically enroll each kid in a different summer camp at 9:01 AM on some obscure spring Monday.

Imaging the brain means nothing if it can’t be done reliably. Our See-Shell cranial windows and titanium headplates give researchers durable, repeatable access to the cortex — making chronic, stress-free imaging possible. 🧠✨

I'm very excited to share the final, published versions of not one, but two papers examining cerebellar network dynamics in the context of healthy behavior and disease states using our new method for chronic, wide-field imaging of cerebellar cortical activity during behavior! (brief lil thread)

Went on an off-roading trip in the UT canyon-lands with my brother earlier this week. No internet, no phone connectivity for 2 days. Good to disconnect. Gives you perspective.

Some good news- got a NoA on an R21. Council review on 2/13- we threaded the needle. Federal reg happened in Jan, and after the 1/20-2/2 pause NIH communications. Hoping things get back to normal with the rest of the advisory council meetings

Study section I was on for Feb 20th postponed ‘by about a month’ due to ‘longer wait time for submission to federal register’. Annoying given the time I have put in for reviewing the grant. Possibly devastating for the folks who spent month writing them. Anyone else getting similar emails?

It’s been a tough few weeks. My 10yo daughter was diagnosed with a very rare, aggressive cancer called interdigitating dendritic cell sarcoma (IDCS). I’m reaching out to identify clinicians/patients who have encountered pediatric IDCS or other (non-LCH) dendritic or histiocytic sarcomas cases.

Hello blue sky! So I started as faculty 9 years ago on this day. Pestered the only dept admin person who was working 2 days before Xmas to get me setup in the univ purchasing system so I could start placing orders for the lab. used to be much more driven and persistent then than I am now.
