Serves him right.  Slapping his name on the Kennedy Center was illegal and offensive. Americans deserve a president who focuses on them, not narcissistic enrichment projects.

As ranking member on the Natural Resources Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee, I forced a vote to subpoena Don Trump Jr. to expose the blatant corruption committed by the Trump family. And what did House Republicans do? They quickly ended the hearing.

Oregonians are paying an average of $5.35 a gallon for gas. Instead of centering the American people, the administration is driving up costs and doing nothing to end this reckless war.

Americans want national parks. Not a ballroom most will never use. Yesterday, I asked Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum if he had ever stood up to Trump for cutting a billion from national parks while spending the same amount on a ballroom. He refused to answer. I think that speaks for itself.

Budgets represent our priorities & values. Secretary Burgum said that himself. Yet he refused to commit to standing up against Trump's billion-dollar ballroom at a time when the National Park Service is facing a billion-dollar budget cut.

We need to fund the research and the experts who will keep us safe. Public health cannot be maintained without them. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)—can only live up to their name if sufficiently funded.

DEXTER: Your budget cuts parks by $1b. If you put this $1b towards parks instead of Trump's ballroom, you could avoid it. That would benefit everyone. Did you ever object to this level of spending on the ballroom? BURGUM: There's a massive security compl- D: It's clear to me you didn't do anything

90% of Americans support our national parks while they oppose Trump’s ballroom by a 2-to-1 margin. Yet this administration is ready to spend $1 billion on a ballroom most Americans will never use, while cutting $1 billion from our parks.

Today, in the House Natural Resources Committee, I am assessing Secretary Burgum’s priorities—will he choose to maintain the National Parks budget or pay $1B for a golden White House ballroom? We know the American people treasure our National Parks. Does he?

Inflation is at a three-year high. Oregonians need real relief from these high costs at the store and the pump. We must stop the war in Iran and refuse to pay for presidential vanity projects. Oregon families want peace. They need a break, not a ballroom.

Virginians were loud in standing against Trump’s authoritarianism at the ballot box. In our democracy, that should be enough. But ultimately, Americans will have final say this November in our midterm elections. Keep STAYING LOUD!
