I volunteered with Moms Demand Action to help bring common-sense gun violence prevention laws to Oregon, before my own child was impacted by gun violence in school. The work these activists do for our community is critical and impactful at the local, state, and national levels.

The ceasefire agreement is at risk so long as Israel continues to unleash bombs on Lebanon—including reporting that Israel dropped 100 bombs in 10 minutes. We need peace in the region. Not more bloodshed.

Threatening to wipe out an entire civilization is the latest example that Trump is dangerously unfit to serve. I’ll say it again: his Cabinet must act now to invoke the 25th Amendment. Congress must continue pushing for impeachment—which I have voted in favor of at every single opportunity.

As a physician, I know the importance of high-quality research. Breakthroughs and new insights are only possible if investigators have a way to observe and test interventions—the same is true for our forests.

Pam Bondi isn’t off the hook just because Trump fired her. She is responsible for the DOJ’s handling of the Epstein files and MUST testify to why survivors still don’t have the justice they deserve. End of story.

BREAKING: House Democrats, led by Rep. Glenn Ivey, were just on the House floor to force a vote on another War Powers Resolution. Republicans wouldn’t recognize us. We won't stop fighting to put an end to this illegal and immoral war that Oregonians want no part in.

This reporting makes clear that the war in Iran was driven by Bibi Netanyahu, not the American people. The results have been catastrophic. Our world is less safe. Israel cannot keep dictating U.S. military and foreign policy. Congress needs GOVERN.

This is absolutely unacceptable. Pam Bondi has been subpoenaed to answer questions — being fired doesn’t shield her from accountability. She must testify.

The just announced temporary ceasefire in Iran is good, but this moment demands more. Congress must GOVERN. We need to return to DC and end this crisis once and for all, we cannot let Trump push us to the brink again.

Trump must STAND DOWN and Congress should immediately reconvene in DC to end this bloodshed.

Trump is threatening to obliterate a country of 90 million people. We all have the power to stop this. Every Republican must use every ounce of influence they have to demand Trump stand down.

Trump is openly threatening to commit blatant war crimes—putting our service members and national security at enormous risk. He is prioritizing paying for a senseless war over caring for working people. It is past time to impeach and/or invoke the 25th Amendment.

This comes after the President said it’s “not possible” for the federal government to fund childcare (as well as Medicare & Medicaid!) Oregonians don't want war. We want healthy, thriving communities.

While in Estacada, I met with city leaders to discuss how they're working on new housing units, the redevelopment of a 90-acre Old Mill site, and the new Glaziers Union Training Center. Thank you for leading the way in rural economic opportunity for our working families.

What a fantastic day at OHSU! I was thrilled to celebrate the opening of the gorgeous new Vista Pavilion, which will help improve regional cancer care and research. It was also great to meet with OHSU healthcare leaders providing care in the Emergency Department and the Center for Women's Health.

STAYING LOUD MATTERS!  Pam Bondi is no longer Attorney General because of your voice and your fight. Her negligence in defying the courts, obstructing justice, and protecting pedophiles is why I helped file articles of impeachment against her.

The Supreme Court is leaving our LGBTQ+ youth behind. This leaves our youth vulnerable to conversion therapy, which is dangerous, disproven, and denounced by every major medical association.

Today, the Supreme Court hears arguments in a case that could decide whether babies born in the U.S. are citizens. But now is not the time to clutch our pearls—we must stand together against his authoritarianism.

Our healthcare system is broken—but I’m in Congress to change that. It was great to be in community with fellow Kaiser workers and old friends at the SEIU Local 49 stewards meeting, to discuss how to address short staffing, increased caseloads, and the path forward. Thank you for all that you do!

Oregon will always defend our right to run our elections as we choose: voting securely by mail. Any attempt to take that away from us will be fought with every tool available from litigation, legislation, and public pressure. Hands off our elections.

This is not okay.   Wiping out or threatening an endangered species is not the solution to lowering gas prices. Ecosystems and species must be protected, not destroyed to increase profits for Big Oil and billionaires.

Last week, I helped expose Trump’s cruelty at a shadow hearing on children and families who have been disappeared by ICE from our communities. I heard directly from Americans and Oregonians facing trauma and fear because of ICE. It's incomprehensible. End family detention and separation.

Trans rights are human rights. Today, we celebrate our trans community for the light they bring into our world. We are committed to passing the Equality Act to enshrine transgender protections into law. To our trans community: I see you. I hear you. And I won’t stop fighting for you.

I held the House floor for an hour last week to highlight how ICE and CBP are terrorizing families and the horrific conditions in the nation's largest child detention center in Dilley, Texas.

After House Republicans blocked bipartisan legislation to end the partial shutdown last night (all to score political points and give more money to ICE) it’s more important than ever we make our voices heard.

SHUTDOWN UPDATE: House Republicans are blocking bipartisan legislation to fund TSA, FEMA, cybersecurity and the Coast Guard—all to score political points and give more money to ICE.

The partial government shutdown continues and you can blame Mike Johnson.  I will keep fighting to hold ICE accountable while funding the non-immigration functions of the Department of Homeland Security.

This is a win. Democrats have successfully stopped any new funding for ICE and CBP while funding the rest of the Department of Homeland Security, including TSA. We won't let up now. We are fighting to end child detention, unmask ICE, and guarantee due process for all.

I spoke on the House floor today to spotlight the cruelty being inflicted on our children during Trump's immigration crackdown. I am grateful to my colleagues who joined me to make clear that immigration enforcement against children is inhumane and unnecessary.
