The killing of Joan Sebastian Guerrero by ICE is not an isolated event. It is a pattern we have seen in communities across the country where militarized federal agents rip away fathers, mothers, neighbors, & loved ones. It will continue until real changes are made. That's why we need to ABOLISH ICE.

ICE shot a 26-year-old man in Maine today. In less than a week, ICE officers have shot and killed two people in broad daylight. This is sick. I grieve for Maine, Texas, & every community living in fear of a rogue, militarized immigration enforcement system. Congress must act. Abolish ICE.

Trump’s terror regime just took a second life this month. A month ago, Republicans gave ICE $70 billion more so they could keep killing and terrorizing our communities. We must not accept this as normal.

Lorenzo Salgado Araujo, a father of three and beloved community member, was shot and killed by ICE while on his way to work. He should be alive. He should be home with his children.   I am holding Lorenzo’s family close today, and mourning with everyone who loved him.

I toured the Multnomah County Elections Office, where I saw firsthand how seriously Oregon takes election security. The ballots you cast are secure, verified, and efficiently counted.

Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya, a prominent Palestinian doctor, has been detained for 18 months without charge or trial. Now, he’s reportedly in critical condition after being beaten by IDF soldiers.
