Java has been something of a "laggard language" in the WebAssembly ecosystem. Ruby, Rust, Go, JS/TS, .NET, Python, PHP, Swift, Kotlin, C/C++ and just about every other major language can build to Wasm 1.0 and at least some of WASI. So this is very exciting.
