As soon as the temperatures dropped, my bell peppers went bonkers. I have 8 growing on one plant in a 5-gal bucket. Cubanelle peppers have been producing like crazy. Dahlias that I bought for cheap ($2/ea!) late in the season and planted mid-June are finally blooming. WHO is paying $10/tuber!?

I planted purple beauty peppers at home and in the garden. I’ve gotten two tiny peppers from the garden plant and the the bucket at home is finally fruiting. These will be much bigger!

I went to empty out my garden tote and almost forget these stragglers (tomatoes and peppers) I found in my garden bed. The two cucumbers are from my buckets at home. The one on the left I found hiding this afternoon behind tons of foliage. I wish y’all could smell this rosemary. It’s insane.

So many people at the community garden abandoned their plots and have let so much good fruit rot. I raided and stole today. Perfectly good herbs just sitting there won’t be going to waste on my watch. I will be going back.

My cubanelle peppers took a while to start fruiting but they haven’t stopped since. I’m getting about 3 7-8inch peppers a week from one plant in a small gallon container.

I’m still waiting for my loafers lmao.

As a Le Creuset collector, I get a lot of my rare, vintage shit overseas (UK, Asia, SA and everywhere else in Europe) because they get different releases than the US. My fellow collectors are telling me they’re halting all shipments to the US because there’s no government directive or process. 😔

For contrast, this is today’s harvest from my containers at home. The mammals realized my house is a buffet and are wreaking havoc on my big heirloom tomatoes. I’ve lost almost 10, so I’m picking everything at the first sign of blushing. Hot, cubanelle and albino sweet peppers are finally going off!

Passed by the community garden this morning and had better luck! Waited too long to go back but I still got a nice haul - over 50 tomatoes and peppers. Lots more peppers finally coming in there too. My lone sunflower towers over the entire garden! Shared the bounty with my neighbors.

I don’t travel on Amtrak, but I’m really trying to get better at using trains. Too bad they’re fucking terrible. Options are pay $161 for a 2 hr train from NYC to CT (similar cost to Uber), or a 4 hour train with transfers OR 4 hour train+bus for less… Why wouldn’t I just take the cab?

I need a hotel plug because I’m too lazy to look for deals (and also have had too many issues using third party sites) so I just book full-fare cost directly from the hotel like an idiot. There has to be a better way. 🥴
