🎉 A world first! After years of our campaigning, the EU finally agrees to set targets to reduce food waste by 2030. These are the world's first legally binding #FoodWaste targets and could prevent millions of tonnes of food from being wasted. But far more ambition is needed.

🥐 A half-baked deal: food waste reductions targets of 10% for processing and manufacturing, and 30% per capita for retail, restaurants, food services and households (compared to 2021–2023). This falls far short of the commitment to halve food waste across the supply chain!

After years of discussions and difficult negotiations, the EU has agreed to food waste reduction targets! 💡 While these world-first legally binding targets are a positive step, more ambition is needed. (1/4)
