The UK High Court finds that the UK government failed to fully investigate the consequences of its deregulation of gene-edited organisms, signed into law in 2025. This is the equivalent of the EU #NGT legislation. Safeguards on labelling and traceability must be upheld for all NGTs.

▶️ The plan will expand the maximum usage limit for fertilisers from animal effluents in so-called Nitrate Vulnerable Zones (NVZ), subject to a higher level of protection. The current limit is 170 kg of nitrogen per hectare per year.

Eating disorders are rising, but are too often unrecognised. 💬 Misconceptions prevent effective diagnosis and support. Eating disorders are not about food, and they are not a choice. They are serious mental health conditions. 🧠 Stigma and body shaming only worsen them.

ADOC, a consumers’ association from Italy, and a SAFE member, is warning their members about how to spot some of the techniques used in marketing psychology, to help consumers stay aware of the subtle manipulations at play among the supermarket shelves. We support this timely initiative!

Visiting a supermarket is not a neutral experience. 🛒 Their spaces are designed to trigger impulsive purchases: from lighting and colour codes, to music, smells, and pricing.
