"Feels like" temp of 6 °F with almost 20 mph winds at 6:15AM. Still pitch black outside. Puppy decides this is the perfect time to have backyard zoomies. I do not know how people have human children.

I don't officially participate in the January pantry challenge but I have been worried about freeing up freezer space for spring. I've picked up less shifts because of the new puppy, so I have time to get creative and use up last year's garden abundance and my salvage grocery finds.

Actually got out in the garden today (with the new puppy) planting out Tango lettuce and Giant Winter spinach seedlings. Don't let anyone tell you that you can only grow in summer. Only thing left in the grow room is red and white onions. Need to start asparagus, and in a few weeks, peppers!
