Nobody is talking about how the other day Trump tried being Frankie Pentangeli’s brother from Godfather 2 - his message to the Justices tried to be “You don’t go against the family.” It’s just like this reopening Alcatraz nonsense. And bombing Iran. He watches movies but doesn’t understand them.

You know it’s a great day when the Czar
@eddiemuller.bsky.social
comes by to talk with students about noir & film & being able to do what you love in life. And to end with a story about Ann Savage, too - icing on the cake! I really do love teaching. Thanks, Eddie!

When he ran for President in 1984, the Rev. Jesse Jackson spoke at San Francisco State. I went with a very Reagan-friendly friend. At one point in his speech, the Rev’s passion got everyone on their feet cheering - including my friend. Afterwards, my friend was pumped. A magical moment. RIP

thank you so much for the follow back. I’m really excited about this new series. I’ve shown several excerpts of The Story of Film to my high school film studies class and find your work invaluable.

I timed it - Ann Savage is in Detour for only 30 minutes. She does not waste a single frame that she’s in. It don’t get any better than that. 🎥📽️🎬

A ★★★★ review of The Sin of Nora Moran (1933)
