Look who was out on the Raccoonobahn possibly hunting squirrels this afternoon!!!! Grey fox running up and down, squirrels all up in the trees chattering away as were the birds. I slowed the first 30secs or so so we could see him/her better. I went out and saw him in person. 😍 #mammals

Polar bear moms are fierce. This mom watched three different males approaching her nap spot, posing a threat to her cub. They retreated with Mom stopping to assess the situation regularly. You can see a pretty serious scar on her face, indicating that she was quick to defend her cubs. #mammals 🌿

Tomorrow, Sept 18th, the Fat Bear Junior villa heats up! Four cubs enter, but only one will strut into the Fat Bear Week finale.

I got to spend time with this 2-year-old black bear earlier this summer. You can tell the bear is young by its ears. Black bears tend to grow into their ears. #mammals 🌿

Watch 803's big boys wrestle. Although they're 2.5 years old and should've been on their own this summer, mom is keeping them an extra year. With the record salmon run and mom's protection, these two don't have to worry about anything and can just enjoy being (well-fed) young bears.
