He him
It sucks being an Xennial music fan because now all the rock stars from the 70s are dying, and we already went through all the rocks stars from the 90s dying in the 90s.

Maybe Sora is just an elaborate way for Sam Altman to get away with crimes on film, because nobody will believe any footage with the first guy to offer up his face to be used in any fake video.

Would be a real shame if the first AI actor became the first AI murder when someone takes a magnet to Tilly Norwood's servers.

I keep hearing about constitutional amendments. Maybe they should do another amendment that says if a president goes to war against his own people, he’s not president any more.

We should build a society where people can’t use guns for murder no matter who they are, and people can’t get murdered with guns no matter who they are. The only “side” that matters is supporting the one that wants to do that (currently the left). The leanings of victims and shooters? Who cares.

Just so we’re clear, Charlie Kirk shouldn’t be shot down while talking and kids shouldn’t be shot down in classrooms. It’s that easy. However, a lot of powerful people are okay with both things, so here we are, surrounded by bullets, blood, thoughts, and prayers.

We communicate with language, and judge “intelligence” of other humans by what they say. But maybe we’re like fish taking water for granted, missing the real intelligence that lets us function. Controlling dozens of tiny muscles to type is as complex as the sequence of keys pressed.

One of the most successful pedestrian streets in the world, the Strøget in Copenhagen, was filled with cars until a 2 year pedestrianization pilot project in 1962. The opposition argued “no cars means no business,” but the street has been a massive retail success, the city’s busiest shopping street.

I’m in the Blue Mountain Village, which is a pedestrian-only neighbourhood with plenty of places to live, eat, and shop, and plenty of parking too—just outside of where people actually do stuff. This is a tourist novelty here, but shouldn’t it just be the default for all cities? It’s way better.

People saying Trump is dying or possibly dead, but I for one would urge caution, because it is quite possible a second healtbar will appear as he enters his second phase and a gargantuan centipede will burst forth from his torso, so be careful of his new sweep attacks and toxic buildup from bites.

Maybe I'm being too optimistic / centrist, but I don't think any actual real people are genuinely upset by Cracker Barrel's new logo OR Sydney Sweeney's jeans.

How can a strike be unlawful? It's not illegal to stay home from work. Just don't go. They gonna come and whip you until you fly an airplane? The world hasn't gone that far backwards yet.

Lots of articles about all the diseases that Ozempic seems to help with. I think it's really just re-discovering that eating too much is really bad for like every organ in our bodies. So we're using a drug to treat a cultural problem. Nothing wrong with that, just interesting.

It's insane to me that the biggest companies in the world are attempting to "fix" artificial intelligence not through better programming or training, but by typing "please act as if you don't like genocide" at it.

Writing a story called “Freaky Thursday” about a mom and kid who switch bodies and have to live each other’s lives. And get this—it takes place on a Thursday. (v. different than Freaky Friday)

Two of my smart home devices will stop working soon. One of them (a Wemo plug) was being sold 2 years ago. The other (Google Nest) is about 10 years old, but still works just fine. We all knew this was a risk, but it's shitty to see it play out so quickly, and no laws to protect against it.

Not a fan of this software UI trend where features are hidden behind swiping on a random part of the screen. Sonos is the worst for this: important functions require tapping on a non-button. Swiping the same area does something completely different. Apple seems to be going this direction.
