Here’s a bit of news about a thing I’ve done…

Robert Duvall was the first person I ever interviewed face-to-face, way back in 1998. I was incredibly nervous, and admitted as much, but he was kind, put me at ease, and treated me to some great stories about making The Godfather films and Apocalypse Now. Total legend.

Just curious: has anyone here attempted, or indeed completed, Baldur’s Gate 3 on Honour Mode? (I just blew it by taking on the owlbear at level 3 - serves me right for playing with a few glasses of wine inside me.)

You can test new tech ideas using the Seinfeld Test Would the product eliminate the plot of an episode? (Google maps, cell phones, paypal, battery packs) Good tech. Would the product inspire new Seinfeld plots? (NFTs, AI chatbots, crypto currency, blindboxes, metaverse land sales) Bad tech.

I have tickets for this already, otherwise I’d go for it myself!

One of my favourite things I’ve done in, well, 25 years…

So here’s a thing I’ve been working on: I got to hang out for a wee while with Sir Ian McKellen and “the Hobbits”, not to mention the lovely Sean Bean and Viggo Mortensen, and it was all just as thrilling and fun as you might imagine…

I once stabbed myself in the hand while making my son an “Evil Mr Spoon”.

Just about to unbox my last Xmas present (bought using gift vouchers). Looking forward to this…

I have issues with the final season of Stranger Things, but I loved the final hour and I’m not ashamed to share that the end credits made me blub like a big old silly.

Ask me which movies I’ve rewatched the most, and both This Is Spinal Tap and The Princess Bride will be right up there. Rob Reiner’s such a big part of my feelgood-viewing life. He brought us all so much joy. What an absolute tragedy that he left us in this way.

I’m enjoying Stranger Things S5, but I think it was very cruel of Will to trick his little sister into believing that Dimension Door is on the Cleric spell list.
