New figures show net migration has fallen by nearly 50% under Labour, while the number of people housed in asylum hotels is also down significantly. Labour promised action on a broken system and these figures show real progress through serious government.

Mortgage costs in Weston are now on average £1,700 lower since the General Election. Real money back in the pockets of local families. After years of economic chaos pushing up bills, stability is making a difference. Responsible government can deliver for communities like ours.

Great news for Weston-super-Mare and North Somerset 🚑 NHS waiting lists are now at their lowest level in three years meaning more appointments and faster treatment for local people. Real progress, and our NHS moving in the right direction.

🛒 Dan Aldridge MP popped into Morrisons café to hear from residents about issues from Worle Library, Pride in Place funds & apprenticeships for local business to everyday issues like potholes, social care and bin collection which he’s raising with the council. More sessions soon.

🚑 Real progress on emergency care. In December, ambulances reached patients faster than at any point since Covid. For heart attacks and strokes, response times were around 15 minutes quicker than last winter. More to do, but we’re moving forward.

Trumps tariffs today brings into sharp relief how our isolated status post Brexit leaves us vulnerable - We must urgently and ambitiously reset our relationship with the EU as part of strengthening NATO so we can stand up to bullies wherever they are and whatever they threaten.

Our MP Dan Aldridge has been meeting with local residents, council officers and Worle Community Centre trustees to look at whether the library could be relocated there. Nothing is confirmed but we’ll keep residents updated.
