In Chicago's Winnemac Park tonight, a growing crowd of around a hundred neighbors have gathered for an emergency vigil for Renee Nicole Good, a 37 yr old mom shot and killed by DHS in Minneapolis today.

Note: agents on scene here insist they have their own medics. None are seen attending to the victim. They did this in Chicago, too—allegedly had assigned medics traveling with certain teams. One of them we identified (Timothy Donahue) also pointed his gun at civilians.

Happening now: several hundred people are pouring into Chicago's downtown Federal Plaza. It's 25 degrees outside. Organizers are leading the crowd in a chant of, "no boots on the ground, no bombs in the air!" Two protesters hold a large banner reading, "no war for Venezuela oil."

ICE in Chicagoland today: CBP agents were seemingly everywhere, with arrests across several neighborhoods and the suburbs. Exact numbers are unknown. Neighbors in Garfield Park witnessed feds choking a Black man in the street, and Border Patrol snatched people at retail strips and traffic stops.

Update: horrifying details about last night's raid are emerging. Organizers + electeds are reporting potentially dozens of people (at least 40 per initial estimate) were detained. Not much more confirmed at this time. More will be shared at press conference at 5 at corner of 75th & South Shore.

The situation at Broadview isn't over. A small number of protesters reportedly still facing off with the feds in the dark, people have been coming and going. It's impossible to be there 24/7 to monitor but we'll get back over there as soon as we can tomorrow.

Hi, just a note— The local ICE/ERO agent directing his team to fire at reporters' faces in Chicago this morning has been threatening press since we showed up at immigration court in June. His agents shot us both at close range last week, too. None of this started today!
