loading . . . Ball Park Music Announce Special Performance At The Metro Brisbane indie rockers Ball Park Music have announced a special show slated for Saturday, 31st of May at Sydney’s The Metro, where they will be performing their eight studio album Like Love in full for their fans.
Making the announcement via social media yesterday (April 29), the band expressed that the demand from fans to hear their latest LP in a live setting has been “pretty insane”. As such, they have promised a one-of-a-kind series of shows to meet the demand, with the first kicking off in Sydney.

Last month, the band added 18 more dates to their initially 30-stop Like Love tour, vowing to hit every nook and cranny in the country in celebration of their new album.
Speaking on the album in a press release, the band said: “The new record has seen us explore a more tender, introspective side of our band and we're excited to redesign our show to accommodate this, as well as all our usual faves for the stage”. With new sounds comes an exploration of new ways to translate the music live, making this forthcoming show a must-do for all Ball Park Music fans.
Elsewhere, the band have also recently announced they will be opening for English rock band Oasis on their upcoming, highly anticipated Australian tour this October and November.
Sharing the announcement to social media, they said: “Can hardly believe I’m typing this but it’s true, we’ll be supporting the Mancunian legends, the one and only, Oasis on their historic reunion tour when they visit Australia this year,” they shared online. “To say we’re pumped is a massive fucking understatement. We. Can. Not. Wait. Let’s fucking get it!”

It was recently established that Liam Gallagher of Oasis had personally handpicked the Brisbane band to be their openers on the Australian leg. On X (formerly known as Twitter), Gallagher nonchalantly responded to a fan questioning whose idea it was to book Ball Park Music with the simple response of “Mine”.
Needless to say, 2025 has already shaped out to be a huge year for Ball Park Music, and with a promise of more to come, we know the gears are only just beginning to roll.
