I never wanted to drive. I was always told that was childish and I’d grow out of it. I dreamed of walkable neighborhoods and was told I’d never be able to afford them. I’m starting to realize that the problem isn’t me. It’s how dependent the US is on cars.

After taking trains literally everywhere for two weeks in London & Amsterdam, I was sadly reminded of how that’s not a thing here. There’s a train from North Station that stops near my apartment…but it only runs every 1+ hrs and getting there from the airport isn’t an option. I hate it here.

today is hard. it’s been 2 years since my brain tumor was discovered. the only way for me to live a “normal” life at this point is to pretend it never happened and will never come back.

I cannot stress how much I miss the public transit systems of Europe.
