If you expect people to be against you or doing bad things, you’ll probably find some examples. But if you look for people who are helping and doing good, you’ll likely find a lot more

Optimism isn’t saying things are fine. It’s taking a pragmatic approach to life’s problems - and seeing them as temporary setbacks rather than permanent

Listening is vital, especially when we disagree. When someone says something you find difficult, pause your natural reaction and really listen. Then calmly reflect back their message with: “So what you’re saying is…”

If you spend too much time trying to keep life under control, you miss out on actually living it. Enjoy the little things

Asking for help can be an act of kindness too. When we reach out for support, we give others an opportunity to make a difference and experience the joy of helping

Don’t ignore what’s wrong. But choose to notice and appreciate the good things too

Give it a try. Every big achievement starts with that first small attempt

If you want to see what’s getting worse, read the news. If you want to see what’s getting better, read history

It’s the little things that make life big. Remember to appreciate them

How we spend our days becomes how we live our lives. Make time for what matters

Feeling prepared is less about planning for specific issues and more about developing the mindset to handle unexpected issues when they come up

Remember to tell the people you love how much you love them while you can

Your loved ones won’t remember you for your achievements. They’ll remember what kind of person you were while you were achieving

If you can’t change it, change the way you think about it instead

Helping someone won’t change the whole world. But it can change their whole world

You are not falling behind. Every small step is progress. Remember, no-one ever completed their To Do list for life. And that’s ok

Look for good outcomes. It’s natural to think about what might go wrong, but it’s also vital to focus on what could go right

Behind every criticism there’s a wish. Try to hear the wish not the criticism

Focus on the basics: 🌤️ get outside 🚴‍♀️ be active 🥗 eat real food 😴 prioritise sleep

Struggling today? If a loved one was going through what you are, how would you comfort or encourage them? Now talk to yourself that same way

Which activities and situations bring out the best in you? Find a way to build more of these into your life

Make peace with whatever didn’t happen. Focus on what you can do now

Seek clarity over urgency. Climbing the right mountain is more important than how quickly you’re rushing up it
