I have thought about pursuing a second career in university teaching and learning center admin, but they all seem so susceptible to AI hype I think my values make it impossible.

A lot to say about this, but one thing is that the Professor in question was a lecturer, and thus did not have tenure. The destruction of academic freedom is inextricably linked to the loss of worker protection in the university.

The theology adjuncts seem to be Norbertine priests (?). I think St. Norbert wants to become the Catholic Hillsdale College of the upper midwest. But man, SNC had a world-class theology dept with a $$$ high-profile lecture series. What a waste.

St. Norbert College finally updated its faculty profiles to reflect the firing/ fleeing of 50 + tenured or TT faculty (I don't even have the exact number). Fired all of the theology faculty except for the guy who's in phased retirement and replaced every single one of them with adjuncts.
