What a lovely evening in the company of Edwyn Collins at the Festival Hall tonight. Career spanning set. Quite an emotional night really. Support, The Hanging Stars were great.

Great evening, Richard Hawley Q&A with Steve Lemaq and hour plus long accoustic set. Standing At The Sky's Edge had the hairs on the back of my neck standing up.

I've been looking forward to a beer all day. Yamas!!

Afternoon listening, Bronco 'Ace Of Sunlight' from 1971. Jess Roden on lead vocals. Picked this up at Langley Records, Molesey 10 or so years ago. Brand new, had been lurking in the racks since 1971 I reckon.

'Departures and Arrivals' the latest Curtis Harding LP. Well worth the wait.

Funky Sunday lunchtime at Jazz Bar, Edinburgh. Great Hammond Organ trio playing funky Grant Green tracks.

R.I.P Mick Ralphs. Met him at the launch of the Mott anthology at Virgin Oxford Street. Hunter, Verden Allen and Mick were supposed to play a short set but unfortunately Mick went to the wrong Virgin so there was no time for them to play.

WIS 9 May 2025 As David Thomas' otherworldly voice is now yelping in the next world, the 'avant-garage' sound of Pere Ubu's The Modern Dance gets an outing on WIS.

Trip to Pressing Matters in St Leonards On Saturday. Great vinyl and book shop, well worth a visit.

What a wonderful, melodic album this is. Chamber pop, XTC, Beach Boys influences. Highly recommended.

Trip to the seaside, fantastic weather and a visit to Music's Not Dead record shop in the foyer of De La Warr Pavilion.
