I finally heard what I needed to hear from @parkroseperma.bsky.social - a 100% clear answer to the question "what the fuck do we do". Turns out no one's been saying it because it will be hard, and require a lot of sacrifice. Short answer: sustained, daily protest. #resistance

"I invoke my rights to silence and counsel and will not answer questions without my attorney present" is also the ONLY thing you should say to police at a protest or action (or any other time) besides "am I free to leave?" and, in a stop and ID state, identifying yourself. That's it.

We haven't been saying fascism just because we like saying it. The warning signs have been clear as day for a long time.

I started when I heard that two federal employees took their lives after being fired.

I promise to keep using everything in my reserves to push back, to defend and defy and fight. But holy shit, best case scenario I'm going to come out of this traumatized, and I'll be one of the lucky ones. So I just wanted to take a minute to acknowledge that. {fin}

I was ready for this fight. I read the damn manifesto. I was prepared to use my emotional tenacity and privilege to defend those who were hit first and hardest. But I wasn't prepared for how paralyzing the psychological warfare would be. It's the uncertainty that is fucking crippling. 4/
