Republicans are trying to cut costs by punishing the poorest in our country. That’s not the America that I believe in.

Construction costs. Goods at the grocery store. Supplies for small businesses.  Tariff-taxes drive up prices across the board for everyone.

Peddling vaccine skepticism and anti-science views puts the health and safety of Americans at risk. These firings were reckless and will be held accountable.

On the 60th anniversary of Medicare and Medicaid, we know these programs are lifelines for our seniors and working families.  But thanks to the Republicans’ Big Ugly Bill, millions of Americans will lose their health care and our rural hospitals will be forced to close their doors.

In college, I helped to start a community health center. Even back then, I knew that health care should be a right, not a privilege. Medicare and Medicaid provide essential health care coverage for millions of Americans. Today is the 60th anniversary of these programs. We’ll always fight for them.

We know AmeriCorps works. It connects young people to local communities and local communities back to young people.  In the face of cuts to the AmeriCorps program, we held a virtual roundtable yesterday with statewide partners to uplift the impact AmeriCorps has on Colorado.

Let’s not forget: Republicans kicked 15M Americans off their health care and threw working families under the bus so they could give tax cuts to the ultra-wealthy.

You wouldn’t book a flight if you couldn’t find out the ticket price until you land, or check into a hotel without knowing if you’re paying for the Ritz or a dump. But that’s the absurd guessing game Americans play every time they need medical care. We deserve to know exactly (cont in image...)
