Stormont’s fast-tracked RHI “closure” is a slap in the face to democracy. Rushing legislation with barely any Assembly scrutiny means cover-ups win over transparency. The public deserves answers and accountability - not secret deals behind closed doors.

The RHI scandal was built on fraud and abuse - and now Stormont is making it easier to cheat again. Scrapping meter readings and softening checks puts taxpayer money on the line for more waste and corruption. This isn’t fixing the problem - it’s refuelling it.

Stormont’s “closure” consultation is a smokescreen. Payments aren’t stopping; they’re shifting from real heat use to inflated historic estimates, letting public money flow unchecked. Cloak-and-dagger bailout hides the truth, prolonging the costly RHI scandal.
