I am devastated today to hear that my ward colleague and friend, @kerryjenkins.bsky.social has passed away. Kerry was an incredible person, kind, clever, generous, empathetic, hard working and totally committed to both her community and her family…

Devastated at the sad death of my friend and colleague, Kerry Jenkins and my thoughts are with her loved ones at this sad time. Kerry was a loyal and passionate friend and colleague and someone who cared deeply about helping and supporting others.

A group of us spent this morning cleaning benches and the Golden Lion boards. It has sadly damaged the boards, but at least now the text is visible and the tags are not. The bandstand and bridge will need specialist cleaning.

Writing about the legendary and much missed (not that many people got to go inside this century) Slicks tonight so was reminded of this advert for a fashion show at Moseley & Balsall Heath Institute in 1979. A sort of forerunner of QVC but not on the telly and 20p in with a licensed bar.
