Outlets pivot to promoting action, not just news - Anita Li, The Green Line “Journalism at its core should be information that’s useful or user-friendly, that helps people navigate their lives on a daily basis, that helps them make decisions impacting their future, that helps them take action.”

In all the discussions about how to cover the climate crisis, this is the constant takeaway. Look for what's useful for people and they will read.

YES, journalism needs a new mantra and I hope it comes soon as we are in dire need of a system that delivers what we need vs what we’re told.
