there were dark days it can't be denied but from darkness comes light from fear comes hope from hate comes love and we crawled our way back one can only live in the dark for so long

but Life went on (as it tends to do) and not all was lost (like we thought that first night) though perhaps we had too much to drink over the coming weeks thinking it would dull us from the pain that lingered
