Sometimes I am cynical, most of the time I strive to be idealistic. But every now and then I need to bow to the trash panda that lives inside me and drink some whiskey and re-watch Archer.

Say what you will about The Truth About Charlie, the Charade remake. It's disjointed, and feels very rushed. I would be interested in a podcast going into what happened there. But, Thandiwe is such a good pick in the Audrey Hepburn role. How she is in a cab with a stemmed glass of wine is hilarious.

Watching If the Shoe Fits (on Tubi, awesome) as my 1st #romcombracket film. I have seen this but it has been like 20 years so I remember NOTHING. Cinderella movies are so fun. ✨ Ever After and the Brandy Cinderella are my favorites. The Glass Slipper is great but Leslie Caron has odd baby voice.

I watched this last night. The top two women's skaters in the US are queer women, with pride flags waving in the audience in support. That really meant something to me in this moment.

Went down a rabbit hole and came up with my Top 10 Hallmark Movies: There are Hallmark movies that I love because they lean all the way in to the Hallmark tropes and just own it. There are also Hallmark movies that I love because they reach past the Hallmark tropes and are just a solid romcom.

My Favorite Christmas Hallmark ( from what I have seen and remember ) In order of release, ranking would take too much time for me. So many hours, and re-watches probably. Just way out of hand. 🎄❄️💕

I’ve been rewatching the Coen Bros filmography this month and while drawing a Barton Fink illustration, it struck me how much their films feel like Far Side cartoons: funny, strange, clever, yet frequently inscrutable. Anyway here’s a thread!

Rewatching Jurassic World and noticed something. Vincent D'Onofrio wears a knife hanging off his belt. It hangs at the back, over one of his butt cheeks. There is no way his character is not sitting on it and poking himself with his own knife constantly. This is a choice. Incredible.

This is so true. 99% of book bans have the intended effect: you never hear about those books again. The 1% of banned books that become infamous bestsellers elsewhere are not the norm.
