It's been a great month's birding in Cornwall watching the trio of Pacific Diver, Booted Eagle, and Boneaparte's Gull . And today's nice seabird passage of 6 Leach's Petrel, 5 Bonxie, 7 GN'Diver Pomarine Skua and 157 Manx at Pendeen .

Nice to find this Franklin's Gull on Copperhouse Hayle, yesterday evening. Hopefully is more obliging today.

It would be good to see some strong leadership from BOU, BTO and RSPB instead of weakly following. They should be showing the wider birding and ornithology the way forward. The image was tweeted by RSPB and shows they have the courage to lead. It just needs "which is why we're also now on Bluesky".

A visit to Marizian yesterday produced one of the 3 Great White Egrets of the spring and the 1st Summer male Surf Scoter found by Steve Rogers this week. .

A dancing Crane at St Gothians this evening and a nice drake Garganey at Marizian were warmly received today in Cornwall. #UKBirding
