With those new detections by Raj with BA.3.2 lineage (RE.2) in NY, wastewaterSCAN is showing rapidly increasing levels of Covid being detected in Oswego, NY. Possibly the first sign of an early start to our “summer” wave.

Of note for those tracking - RE.1.1 and RE.2.2 are of the BA.3.2 lineage, they just have new names.

In the CDC variant tracking, we have our first strong start to BA.3.2 in the US sequencing data. 6% of sequences on March 7th. Time for that third bump to start of our on-going winter wave.
