I was on the Newark Avenue pedestrian plaza this morning. Obersvations: 1. The weather was nice. 2. There wasn't much car noise. 3. I saw people walking leisurely and briskly to the PATH station. It was horrible.

I passed by a farmers market today that had INVADED a STREET. If congestion pricing/road diets/bike lanes will lead to more spaces in our cities where people can walk/bike and enjoy themselves while supporting local businesses...then our COUNTRY is in TROUBLE.

Investing in public transit is a scam. Think about it: who benefits when people can get around more safely, quickly, and in a more environmentally friendly way than driving?

This is an outrage and extremely out-of-touch. Sure, a well-funded public transit system might get people to places more quickly and safely. But dealing with traffic and the associated horn-honking + air pollutants builds character. And isn't that ultimately the point?
