I want to be excited about Starfleet Academy but I'm worried about how tied it is to Discovery. Star Trek is no stranger to bad stories. Discovery though was a special kind of terrible that sought to spit on everything the franchise stood for and tear it all to pieces.

Stranger Things is so, so good. It shouldn't have taken even half this long to release this season but I can't argue with the quality. Some of the best prestige TV out there.

My 4 year old son is a frankly incredible driver in real life. He has an electric kids car and can easily navigate obstacles in a way I don't think I could do. Give him a controller though and he somehow manages to get lost in the Hot Wheels game on a track.

DungeonTube is such a bizarre place. There are tons of great creators making amazing content but there's one guy who makes these videos where he talks about how terrible everything is. Every vid is a prediction at how WOTC is going bankrupt every other day and the way people play now is just wrong.

What a year! So many of these games are top genre contenders but I don't think any has had the impact that Stardew Valley has had on gaming as a whole. It was my GOTY then and I still have to pick it now but it's got a ton of incredible competition.

I had read that the detective stuff was fairly limited in Seance at Blake Manor but I started it and I'm having a great time! The limited time (which is actually just limited actions) is only just limited enough where I feel encouraged to think about what I'm doing and not ask random questions.

So I was also fooled by the rumored episode lengths for season 5. It's a bummer but it leaves me wondering why it took so long to make this season if they weren't super long episodes? The last season of Game of Thrones took 2 years. Stranger Things season 5 was 3 and a half years.

I'm so ready to go back to Hawkins one last time. 😁

Price will be everything in the success of Valve's hardware and it could go either way. The Steam Controller had issues but it was cheap and good for what it was. The Index was a great headset but was way too expensive. I think if the Steam Machine is right around $400 or $500, it'll succeed.

I've been wanting something like this for years. A proper Steam console is so helpful for playing local multiplayer games on a TV from Steam. The Steam Deck is great but it has a lot of jank when it's docked. Fingers crossed this machine will have a lot of those wrinkles ironed out.

You could teach a class on adaptated storytelling with Invincible. Not because it's perfect but because every choice is made with careful intention and is fascinating.

Pro tip for D&D 5e players, when you have an ability that boosts another player (Bardic Inspiration, Bless, Aura of Protection, etc.), be proactive about reminding folks that they have it. It's your ability. You know it better than the rest of the table does. Help your party out!

Something I am loving about Campaign 4 CR is how each character feels like their ancestry is important to who they are. I always find racial options in TTRPGs incredibly boring because players typically wear them like a costume. They don't really inform the character at all.
