In the midst of life's chaos, I created this rustic sourdough strawberry cake.

Maybe we're finally ready for a better world?

I know sometimes it's overwhelming, but we have to keep speaking out. Grab a few friends and head for the nearest protest. Keep boycotting. Refuse to participate in the economy as much as possible.

Started my sourdough starter today. It's something I have been contemplating for years.

We all know what's happening. How do we stop it?

We must remember to be kind to ourselves and to each other, in the midst of this chaos.

Everything seems very dark at the moment. But we have to remember to be the light. It's a scary world. Stay strong.

It finally stopped snowing. I feel almost ready to face post inaugural America. Or at least my tiny wooded corner of it.

Holidays are getting me down, and the future looks bleak. I just want to feel hopeful again.
