It was a special thing to be able to drop to my knees so early during my visit. The feeling of comfort and submission mixing with the fear of the crop, knowing if I didn’t behave it will be used. A feeling I miss dearly. Special thanks to @raev.gay for the wonderful pics~

Forced to stand properly on the tips of my hooves, it certainly got a lot more difficult to stay above the horse once @jessdegey.bsky.social was clipped up too

I have just landed after Pony Camp Denmark, my first event abroad! @raymond.fee.sh and co. built fantastic space and community of ponies and handlers and I hope they know how well they've done! I was a little nervous, but was able to try so much and meet fantastic ponies I hope to see again soon!

After a weekend away I had a five hour drive in the passenger seat to think about patterns for my mask, and I decided to keep my pink nose and add a split blaze- I stole the shape from a horse I saw among the New Forest herds! This was a nice way to wind down, tomorrow I can put the finish back on!

Final stages of my hooves- though I may tweak the position of the stitching on the soles so I can give them.a neater trim! Tongues and sleeves stitched on, ringlets added, and temporarily string laces until I go and but some actual ones. And I split my cutting board. Hooves feel good though!

That's the last of the external hardware on my hood, just need to trim the tongue and buy some actual laces! Oh, and fit a headband inside for padding and cut ports for an Internal bit if I decide it's worth it

I will not, in fact, give transphobia a fair hearing. Gtfo.

Attempting to make the tongue for my hood tonight, it's a bit wide due to earlier miscalculations, which has led to a very screbbley bit of leather... This will happen when you're using your head in place of any sort of jig It's a method.

A little test fitting of the main part of the hood tonight- my awls ae hamme based, so I can't punch all the holes right now. Got the line marked up for tomorrow instead! Still needs the back piece designing, and of course the fittings... fitting

Finally got back to adding the hood to my mask, having been using it with temporary straps! I'm trying a two piece design; the unpolished shape in the picture, plus a tongue to link the back (haven't started that yet) I'll decide on a way to attach the mane to the tongue, and add support straps

After much delay, I've finally got a metal bit and can look the little bit fancier! I am, it seems, much more vain as a pony 😅

I was lucky enough to finally have someone with thumbs to hold the camera down at M.A.R.S (Manchester Alternative Rooms) this weekend- I had a great time at their pet party event and look forward to visiting again soon! I even tried some rope, though I didn't get any pictures of that (this time)

Why would it take an entire month for it to occur to me to brush my mane? who can say...

I have been working on the back end of the pony hood, but got distracted by a request for a warhorse- I need to sort out a backdrop and some better lighting, but I'm spending all my change on craft supplies lately Anyway, Saxon steed, if you ignore the 14c buckler-big shield was too big

I haven't take many photos yet, and I haven't edited most of what I have taken, but I've always wanted to contribute to #ponybuttmonday May future submissions be more defined

I got to try out my new gear at Hoof It! last weekend, my second pony event and first time really connecting to my inner pony! I can't thank everyone enough for being so welcoming and supportive of a nervous horse I didn't think to ask for photos, so I had a little trip p the hill yesterday!

Bottom jaw finished and dyed, and it's most likely my last craft night before next weekend so I've made do with a temporary strap and a mane made from a sheepskin offcut for now. There is much burnishing to do at some point.

I've got most of the final layer onto my horse mask, minus the bottom jaw- I got impatient and did the first coat of dye when I should have gone to bed, then remembered I haven't sorted out an ear attachment yet- I also made some bigger ears, but they're too big now...

I've been building up the sections of my mask that need a bit of extra shaping, while the glue is drying I figured I'd see if I could figure out how to do veins and ended up with some cthulu offcuts

That's the ears made and jaw on- although I'm not sure if the ears should be larger or the mouth longer- it's quite a long head... Anyway, I need sleep- goodnight

Two nights in a row with a little time for crafts- cutting the excess and the eyes has made a big difference- even got the top lips shaped and had juuuust enough leather left to link the chin (weirdly, but again; getting covered). He needs ears and a jaw now...

Finally had another chance to work on my mask for a couple of hours, and git as far as trimming and stitching the nose- I may need to work on my butt-stitch before I get as far as the outer layer!

I've been pottering about with a couple of prototyping craft projects- namely thinking about designs for a set of fairly stiff leather hooves, and taking up leather sculpting for a mask- I suspect I've put the eyes too far apart to be functional

I was lucky enough to be able to go to my first event last Sunday (it took me a while to get back home!), it was great to meet some other ponies and freeing to finally dip my toes in the water!
