Leave it to Leslye Headland to hit the nail on the head. It's been a major issue since at least 2017. So many fans don't even want to experience actual stories anymore: they watch recaps, reactions, lore breakdowns. And the more inflammatory the rhetoric is, the more clicks it attracts.

If they told me a few years ago that the same franchise that introduced me to a princess who helps rebels and an eccentric new galaxy was the same one that canceled something just as incredible and creative, I would laugh and call them crazy..........

Every time I see more news about how the Acolyte was not given the space and time to shine and got cut short by Disney it just makes me want to make more fanart of it. There's so much depth and wonderful concepts from the show that I want to draw and explore. It honestly inspired me to keep drawing.

Leslye gave us creativity and new stories to explore. She and the entire team were the ones doing something new, with the intention of entertaining the fans, not these pieces of shit who only knew how to stutter insults online.

What happened to Leslye and the acolyte was the result of a system that future will break not only SW but also other sagas. Not taking into account what fans really think and stifling creative projects is the end of the road. The only ones who will gain from this will be *those* content creators.
