I think a great deal of backlash to #TheMandalorian S3 came from culture shock. If you grew up within the modern Western atheistic paradigm, it's hard to comprehend someone who deeply cares about his religion and a sense of community it brings, even if it's restrictive. Din doesn't want to leave.

To me, the most fascinating aspect of #TheMandalorianAndGrogu trailer is in how it suggests that our protagonists will be separated for some time. The idea of Grogu having to rescue Din and gain allies while being pretty much non-verbal certainly opens up some unique storytelling potential!
