Have seen many variations of this & broadly agree—but the part that struck me in the moment wasn’t “this is a microcosm for how America sucks” — it was “this is a microcosm for trying to behave democratically & respectfully of one another in a complex, evolving situation with things we can't know.”

Started rewatching Mad Men with husband. I watched it on my own like a decade ago, before we were married. And I'm happy to report that he's obsessed. It's definitely a "another one!" kind of show and I'm having a blast watching it with him.

I'm very glad to see that Kathleen Kennedy will be acting as an independent producer on future LF projects. That should be interesting.

It’s a shame Kennedy’s legacy has been tainted by Iger and the rabid sexist critique of her from “fans” and professional media types alike. She delivered an impossible task in making Star Wars the biggest pop culture force in the world. Never forget that. Plus we got The Last Jedi and Andor.
