when you're met with a difficult decision, rather than intellectualize your options, try each scenario on imagine your world as if you've chosen the path you're leaning towards. how does that decision feel in your body? our bodies know. tune into that subtle inner wisdom

the negative reactions we feel are often a derivative of the emotion we're *actually* experiencing say you're mad at a friend which leads you to feel guilty for feeling that way the feeling of anger is intensified by feeling shame and thinking you shouldn't be reacting this way

IFS in three parts: - what does your head want? - what does your heart want? - what does your wallet want?

we live under an illusion we *should* do things that are misaligned with what we want to do the next time you think, "I should do [xyz]," ask yourself who or what is imposing that should on you if there's no meaningful rationale, perhaps it's something you *should not* do it
