I was finalizing a chapter that's been a thorn in my side the last few weeks because there was a line in another scene that my beta readers suggested adding another chapter to contextualize/build characterization for... and I just decided to cut the new chapter & remove that line. problem solved 👍

Giving myself grace for taking almosr 2 years to write book 2 when my book 1 only took me 1.5 years to write because when I wrote book 1, it was the only thing I worked on. With book 2, I had to research, draft, and edit while also querying, editing, and revising (x3) book 1

I think dialogue is a given because that's how most of my stories are born and it's still the easiest for me but something I've discovered after I finally started trying to get published For Real is that I'm good at writing horror 🖤
