It is shocking that over a third of children in Wales are living in poverty and this number is projected to rise. Scrapping the two-child benefit cap has been reported to be the most effective way of lifting children out of poverty but Labour has refused to reverse this damaging Tory policy.

The humanitarian crisis in Gaza is worsening by the day. The UK Government has a moral and legal responsibility to ensure Israel complies with international law. We must continue to put pressure on the UK Government to do everything in its power to put an end to the atrocities seen in Gaza.

This decision deals a heavy blow to the town and higher education community of Lampeter. The university has been at the heart of Lampeter's identity for over 200 years, and the community deserves a clear commitment from UWTSD that it intends to secure a future for the campus.

Barely a week since the UK Government acknowledged that Wales has been underfunded in railway infrastructure enhancements, this news is deeply concerning. In the event of a freeze, Wales will yet again lose out on key infrastructure investment, on top of the £4 billion we are already owed from HS2.
