When Disney secured the Indiana Jones Adventure ride license from Lucasfilm, they didn’t have permission to use Harrison Ford’s likeness for the poster art. Drew Struzan called Harrison Ford and directly asked him. Ford permitted Struzan because he inherently trusted him.

Drew Struzan's poster for "Star Wars: Episode I: The Phantom Menace" will always be a favorite of mine—indelibly capturing the magic and wonder of the film. It always brings a warm feeling and draws me back to the excitement of the prequel era. An iconic and beautiful composition by a true master. 🎨

So sad to hear the news of Drew Struzan’s passing. Prints of several of Struzan pieces hang on my walls. His work didn't just promote movies—it became part of them. His art is an indelible part of our collective culture, shaping how we see some of the greatest movies ever made. A true legend.
