Something I noticed while making this. From The Indian Express frontpage dataset: From 1933–1994, there were 0 full page ads. From 2009–2017, 11.57% of front pages had full page ads. From 2023–2025, that number jumps nearly 4 times to 42.33% of all front pages!!

JioHotstar website is currently broken on the latest version of Firefox. This is due to Firefox v136 introducing a new browser API called CookieStore, which enforces a 1024 byte cookie size limit and two of Hotstar’s cookies exceed this limit. I've got a temporary workaround 👇
