Velia (Monster Prom OC edition) and Damien have a history. No, not that kind of history. They're both cagey about the details, but Velia blames Damien for her burn scars. He doesn't generally DENY it, but he also doesn't exactly admit fault.

She doesn't use it so much now after The Mothercrystal, but she used to use "Blessed Hydaelyn" as an expletive. She still sometimes uses "Blessed Twelve" despite the events of Thaleia.

Zori actually started off as a conjurer before reaching Eorzea, but she wasn't exceptionally good at healing. It wasn't until arriving in Eorzea that she first encountered a thaumaturge, and found that their style of spellcasting fit her better.

I'm very much enjoying Starfleet Academy, incidentally. I like that, much like DS9 and Lower Decks, its a different angle of the Star Trek future from what we usually see, giving a sense of how people who AREN'T exciting space cowboys are getting through life. Also funni.
