Rock Pipit CBA was ringed as a juv

in July 24 and is now back breeding in the island after inky being seen once previously in March this year. Great to see juvenile recruitment into the breeding population

Early tide Saturday morning

an imm Merlin spent the morning hunting Turnstone and Rock Pipits. A couple of Shag fed around the North end. 2 Raven on Middle Eye and a Peregrine briefly. 150 Pinkfeet south of Little Eye.

An autumnal feel to Hilbre Bird Obs today with the first couple of GreyWagtails of the autumn over, an early PalebelliedBrentGoose flew past the North End, waders and terns were much in evidence (including this flock of 15 Whimbrel) and our first Osprey of the autumn flew west
