Every time I do a major refactor that requires UI changes I think "this would be easier if I completely redid the frontend" but since I have literally no motivation (ie: time and $$$) to do that, it will not happen and I will wallow in tech debt rebuilding the event entry form... (1/2)

Our V2 event system will finally support a calendar view. This isn't the final UI, but a test page used to ensure everything is working correctly.

Event system V2 is like... half done? It's been a pain in the ass to rebuild but is so much more elegant now.

In events V2 we will be dropping support for the ever so annoying "every other week" recurrence pattern. Often times event organizers actually mean 1st+3rd/2nd+4th [day] of the month, without thinking about the possible 5th instance throwing it all off, or they're short-term events (eg: gauntlet)

The fact that cloudflare still doesn't support the @dotgay.bsky.social TLD yet is quite frankly homophobic, but probably not as homophobic as GoDaddy's commercials in the 2000s.
