Celebrate the creativity and talent of LGBTQ+ young people from SAYiT at our Youth Pride event featuring live music, art stalls, games, and more. Connect with local charities and organisations offering, advice, and opportunities for young people in a welcoming and inclusive environment.

Over Easter, our Nature Connect group headed to Endcliffe Park for a bat walk with the South Yorkshire Bat Group. We learned about the different species in the area and were lucky enough to spot some Daubenton’s bats!

This month at Nature Connect, we took young people to Ecclesall Woods to discover transness in prehistory with the wonderful SK Marley. We explored how gender binaries weren’t always so fixed in ancient times.

Last month, we visited Wardsend Cemetery with our young people. During the visit, we created mono prints using the gravestones, drew designs for a future mural, enjoyed birdwatching along the river, and learned about some of the cemetery’s fascinating residents with Meghan Tipping.

Nature Connect: This week we went on a Bee and Butterfly walk with UKEcoNet. Ian Rotherham and Christine Handley took us around Graves Park telling us all about its heritage and the unique landscapes there such as the meadows and ancient woodland. We identified some butterflies, moths and ladybirds!

For this month's Nature Connect group, we went to a community BioBlitz event at Shire Brook Nature Reserve. The young people tried out pond dipping, sweep netting, and had a look at moths, a snake, and a toad! Thanks for the amazing event @defragovuk @heritagefunduk

Last week we launched our annual zine for 2025, created by the young people who attend SAYiT. In celebration we showcased the young peoples artwork with a gallery show and zine workshop. If you would like a copy of the zine they will be available at any future events we attend or upon request.

Our Fruitbowl groups went on a trip to Weston Park Museum last week, where they had the whole museum to themselves for the evening! We all enjoyed looking around the exhibits and played "museum bingo" where the young people drew pictures to fit into each bingo category!
