There are calculated reasons to take a risk at Eurovision. The song that finishes last is often not the worst one, it’s the one no-one notices. If loads of people hate your song but enough people love it, they’ll vote. All on the stage performance for me, this one.

Safe to say the UK Eurovision entry is very different to anything its ever sent before - and there had been a lot of calls for that sort of approach. Also safe to say it’s impossible to say how this one will do until we see it on stage.

Good news: the joy of Scottish Twitter appear to be alive and well. Bad news: it seems to have shifted over to TikTok. Which is a bit of a pain for those of us just used to tapping out our thoughts versus filming a full video, but hey ho.
