This has been mainly a restful weekend. Haven’t accomplished much besides laundry & dishes. Slept 10 hours Friday night. And 10 hours last night. Then took an hour and a half nap this afternoon. The pinched nerve thing seems to be slowing getting a bit better.

I love Michael Connelly’s Lincoln Lawyer books. Just finished the audiobook that came out in late October. So bummed that it will probably be a couple of years before the next book. 😢

Back at work today and I don’t like it one bit. Tired, but I shouldn’t be. Slept 12 hours Monday night & 9 hours last night. I feel cold, but my office is toasty. No fever. But I sure would love to be in bed right now, watching a Christmas movie & dozing off for a nap!

Having to do a stupid all-day online Zoom training for work today. Even in chat, the extroverts are annoying me. 😂

The pinched nerve is still a thing. But I slept well on my back last night! Twelve hours. First good sleep since that tooth abscessed the day after Thanksgiving.

Why is it that every time some program, app, or operating system updates, it becomes less efficient? Why do tasks take MORE steps after an update? Hate the most recent iOS update.

Someone needs to come grab my phone & stop my shopping. So far today, I’ve ordered a terry cloth robe, a pair of bipap masks, reading glasses, and extra teaspoons & salad forks for my flatware set.

Friday, I heated up a 4 lb spiral cut ham portion that my son had no interest in a week earlier. The girl cats & I ate 2 slices. Put the rest in the fridge, thinking I’d eventually have a ham sandwich. Found the storage container empty in the sink. Son & the cats polished the ham off in 3 days!

Took today off from work. Still dealing with swelling & pain from my jaw. Realized that part of why I can’t sleep well is because I have to leave my bipap mask disconnected on the tooth extraction side. So the seal isn’t good & the air leaking noise keeps waking me up. 🤦‍♀️ Got up at 5 AM & made Jello.

I feel like a new woman! Took a nice, deep nap. Then got a hot shower. And was FINALLY able to brush (most of) my teeth for the first time since I was at the dentist yesterday morning. It’s like being reborn. 😂

Finally got a nice chunk of sleep! My plan for today is to lounge snug in bed and watch my weekly TV shows, and maybe some Christmas movies. I’ve been staying pretty busy, so I’m giving myself a lazy day. 😊

I really didn’t sleep well last night. Don’t know why. My jaw isn’t too uncomfortable. And the opioid pain killer should help with sleep. Guess I’ll be napping today! 😂

The extraction bleeding finally stopped after 5 hours. I have a frozen Icee drink pouch on my jaw. 😂 Just did a text interview with my college grandgirl. She had to interview someone in the field of psychology for a class. Got permission to interview her psychologist Nana. 😂

Man, I’m going to do lazy lounging the rest of the day, after I get home from the dentist & take some pain meds! Good thing I did laundry & dishes yesterday. Nothing else is probably getting done this weekend. 😂

A good day. Got everything done at work by 10:30. Spent 3 hours in the pool. Dropped off a package at UPS. Then made a quick run into a grocery store. Home now, & going to get my laundry done, take a shower, and enjoy some TV.

Good news! I was able to get an appointment at a dentist for Saturday to take care of this abscessed tooth. The antibiotics have helped & I’ll still be on them through Saturday, so that should keep the infection in check til then. AND I don’t have miss my pool time tomorrow (or Sunday, I hope).

New weight loss level unlocked. I need to downsize my underwear again, and today realized that the size I need can be purchased in regular department stores. I no longer have to shop exclusively on sites that sell extended plus sizes!!!

Went to Winco Sunday to get some Shasta Tiki Punch. Picked up a loaf of Cheesecake Factory brown bread to try. It is SO GOOD! I just wish it came either unsliced, or in thicker slices. But - so much yum!

Doing a “healthy habits” incentive program from my health insurance company to earn $ toward paying for health expenses, like prescriptions. One of the goals is spending quality time with a loved one. To check off that goal, should cats count?

When Keegan saw me putting on my “outside feet” to go to the pool, he freaked out. Climbed up into my arms to give me “don’t go to work” cuddles.

So weird to realize that my weight loss is real. It’s chilly this morning. So on my way out to the pool, I put on a sweat jacket that I haven’t been able to wear in years. Intellectually, I know it’s now too big for me. But when I put it on & it’s huge on me, it still surprised me! So weird.

Slept better last night. Did wake up a lot to go to the bathroom. Probably because of the prednisone.
